Our Team

KateKate Jones has helped thousands of people understand themselves and others better for a decade now. She continues to use her skills as a trainer / speaker /  writer /  coach to help clients explore the strengths, values and skills they possess, while  acknowledging the same of others with whom they have contact.  Team members learn to be more resilient, while family members learn to be more accepting.

Kate has  facilitated teams in a number of corporate settings (e.g., Yellow Pages, 20th Century Fox, RBC Global), educational settings (e.g., Peel District School Board, Toronto District School Board, Durham District School Board), and not-for-profit groups (e.g., Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way, Acclaim Health, Canadian Mental Health Association, Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, Dairy Farmers of Ontario, and Toronto Business Development Centre).

She has inspired parents and teachers alike as a Speaker at a number of conferences, including Solutions Media Group and Ontario School Advocate Conferences, Council for Exceptional Children Conference, and OMLEA Middle School Conference.

Having begun her career as a junior writer in a public relations firm, Kate enjoys writing about personality and positivity. Kate was lead author and coordinator of Retirement Dimensions™  assessment tool and Facilitator Toolkit, major contributing editor of Sales Dimensions™ and the accompanying Sales Wheel™, and  co-author of her book, Great Parenting Skills for Navigating Your Kid’s Personality. 

With a Master of Education degree and her many certifications, Kate designs workshops, keynotes and individual consultation for her clients’ specific needs to help them embrace life more fully.

waynesmWayne Jones is an experienced educator, having taught students from Kindergarten through secondary school as well as adult education. Wayne’s principalships have been noteworthy for the introduction of the first elementary regional arts program in the Peel District School Board as well as for a strong emphasis on meeting the needs of special education (autistic and developmental disabilities) students. A strong Literacy focus coupled with outstanding arts and athletics programs have helped address the needs diverse student populations.

Wayne has excellent oral and written communication skills, incorporating a dry sense of humour in his presentation style. He has managed numerous complex projects and initiatives and exhibits superior group facilitation skills in a variety of settings. Wayne has also completed contract work for the Peel District School Board and was a faculty advisor for Nipissing University.

As an Educational Consultant and Personality Dimensions® Level II facilitator, Wayne Jones draws on over 30 years teaching experience (elementary and secondary) to enrich his presentations.

Stepen-White-lightStephen White is a Certified Management and Executive Coach and founder of Competitive Edge Coaching based in Burlington, Ontario.  His firm specializes in providing Management and Executive Coaching and Human Resources consulting services to individuals in transition, small to medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Over the course of his career Stephen held several senior Human Resources generalist and specialist positions in both the public and private sectors.   Most recently, he was Senior Manager, Human Resources and Policy Compliance with Scotiabank in Toronto where he was responsible for the design, development and implementation of Scotiabank’s Occupational Health and Safety Program.  Stephen also spearheaded the design of the Bank’s policy development function within human resources, as well as regulatory reporting for the Bank.  Previously, he held positions in recruitment and talent management, employee/labour relations, compensation, succession planning, benefits, compensation and HRIS.

Stephen graduated from McMaster University with an Honours B.A. in History and Political Science, and completed Masters degrees in Public Administration (M.P.A.) and Industrial Relations (M.I.R.) from Queen’s University, a Certificate in Adult & Continuing Education from the University of Saskatchewan (CACE), and an Advanced Certificate in Alternate Dispute Resolution from the University of Windsor.  He received the Certified Professional Coaching (CPC) and the Advanced Coaching and Personal Coaching Certifications (ACPEC) from the College of Executive Coaching in California, and was recently awarded the ACC certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) in the United States. Stephen is also a trained facilitator in several psychometric assessment tools including EQ I 2.0, EQ I 360 and Personality Dimensions.

Since 1985 Stephen has been a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (Halton Chapter), and currently holds the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation.  From 2012 to 2014 he was a volunteer Mentor with the Halton Chapter of the HRPA, and in 2015 initiated the first ever coaching support program for unemployed Human Resources professionals in Ontario.

Stephen is active in various political and community organizations.  He is an active member of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and also serves on the Chamber’s Political Action Committee.  He also serves on the Human Resources Committee of the Canadian Association for Equality.
